About
Based at the Temple University Beasley School of Law since 2009, the Center for Public Health Law Research creates and advances research on the health effects of laws and policies to promote health, well-being, and equity.
We envision a world where law successfully promotes public health, well-being, and equity. We believe that law is a powerful tool that can advance public health and well-being, but also recognize the historical and contemporary harms that law can have. By developing and promoting the measurement and evaluation of the law’s impact, we strive to support proactive and creative policies that advance public health and well-being for all.
Our organizational values are the guiding principles to our work. We aim to prioritize these values in all aspects of our work, including our work product, external partnerships, and internal organizational practices:
- Collaboration & Partnership
- Health Equity
- Diversity, Equity, Belonging, Inclusion
- Ethics & Integrity
- Innovation
- Accessibility
