Katie Moran-McCabe is a Lead Law and Policy Analyst at the Center for Public Health Law Research at Temple University's Beasley School of Law. She leads projects and conducts legal research on a variety of policy areas related to public health. Katie has led several housing-related projects for the Center, including the development of the Legal Levers for Health Equity in Housing report series, and the creation of legal datasets on State/Territory Eviction Laws and City Nuisance Property Ordinances. Katie also led the development of the Sentinel Surveillance of Emerging Laws and Policies legal mapping method, and has been closely involved with the Center’s legislative tracking work as part of the Act for Public Health initiative.
Prior to joining the Center, Katie worked as the Director of Enforcement with the Fair Housing Rights Center in Southeastern Pennsylvania, where she advocated for victims of housing discrimination. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary C. Jacobson, A.J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey in Mercer County. Katie graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and earned her JD degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Katie is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
