Amy Cook, JD

Amy Cook is a Senior Law and Policy Analyst with the Policy Surveillance Program at the Center for Public Health Law Research. She has spent her career in public service. Before joining the Policy Surveillance Program, Ms. Cook was a Policy Analyst at the American Board of Internal Medicine. Prior to that, she was a Presidential Management Fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). As a Fellow, she rotated through the Workforce Support and Development Division, Office of the Director; the Division of International Science Policy, Planning and Evaluation at the Fogarty International Center; and the Office of the General Counsel’s General Law Division, Procurement, Fiscal, and Information Law Branch, at the Department of Health and Human Services. While in law school, Ms. Cook had internships with the Office of General Counsel at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and with the Executive Office for Immigration Review with the United States Department of Justice. Ms. Cook has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Pittsburgh and a JD from the Temple University Beasley School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
